A Thanksgiving to Truly Give Thanks

A Thanksgiving dinner was served by the Parish House members and staff for all their families on November 15th. Young adults, their parents and VoA team members gave thanks for the engaging new life at the Parish House. One resident said it all, “I love the Parish House.”

Happy Halloween!

The Parish House celebrated All Hallow’s Eve in style. Residents and staff joined in the fun of the holiday by cooking and feasting on unusually spooky concoctions, dressing in costumes, and walking in the festive neighborhood of Bar Harbor.

Opening Dedication Ceremony

On September 6, 2017 Local Solutions, Community Housing of Maine (CHOM), and Volunteers of America (VOA) hosted an Opening Dedication Ceremony for the Parish House in Bar Harbor. More than 200 people attended the celebration at St. Saviour’s Church. Read more about this wonderful event as reported in the Islander newspaper.
